14th Ibero-American Congress on Sensors
About This Conference
The 14th Ibero-American Congress on Sensors (IBERSENSOR 2026), co-hosted in the Colombian cities of Barranquilla and Cartagena, serves as the premier meeting point for sensor science and technology researchers across the Ibero-American region. Now in its fourteenth edition, the congress unites specialists in physical, chemical, and biosensors with engineers developing smart sensing systems for environmental monitoring, industrial automation, biomedical diagnostics, and the Internet of Things. The dual-city format reflects the growing vibrancy of the Colombian scientific community and creates an opportunity to engage with research groups from Spain, Portugal, and across Latin America. IBERSENSOR 2026 places special emphasis on miniaturization, low-power sensing, and the integration of machine learning with sensor data analytics.
Topics
Call for Papers
IBERSENSOR 2026 invites original research contributions on sensor science, technology, and systems. Topics include: physical sensors (pressure, temperature, flow, displacement); chemical and gas sensors; optical and photonic sensors; biosensors and point-of-care diagnostics; MEMS and nanoscale sensors; wireless sensor networks and IoT; sensor signal processing and data fusion; machine learning for sensor data analysis; wearable and implantable sensors; environmental and agricultural sensing; industrial process sensors; and sensor calibration and metrology. Papers may be submitted in Spanish, Portuguese, or English. All submissions undergo peer review. Student and early-career researcher participation is especially encouraged.
