16th Saudi Arabian Section of the Combustion Institute (SAS-CI) Annual Conference

About This Conference
The 16th Annual Conference of the Saudi Arabian Section of the Combustion Institute (SAS-CI 2026), hosted in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia, brings together combustion scientists, engineers, and energy researchers to advance fundamental and applied knowledge in combustion science. As Saudi Arabia accelerates its energy transition agenda under Vision 2030, understanding clean combustion, alternative fuels, and efficient energy conversion has never been more strategically important. SAS-CI 2026 covers a broad spectrum of research including laminar and turbulent flame dynamics, pollutant formation and control, hydrogen and ammonia combustion, biofuel combustion chemistry, industrial burner design, and fire safety engineering. The conference connects the global Combustion Institute community with the Arabian Peninsula energy sector.
Call for Papers
SAS-CI 2026 invites original research contributions in all areas of combustion science and engineering. Topics include: fundamental flame structure and combustion chemistry; turbulent combustion modeling and simulation; hydrogen, ammonia, and alternative fuel combustion; biofuel and waste-to-energy combustion; pollutant formation (NOx, soot, CO) and emission reduction strategies; industrial combustion systems and burner design; fire safety and explosion dynamics; diagnostics and measurement techniques in combustion; gas turbine and engine combustion; and combustion under extreme conditions. Submissions of full papers, extended abstracts, and poster presentations are welcome. Student and early-career researcher participation is especially encouraged.
