The Annual International ACM SIGIR Conference on Research and Development in Information Retrieval in the Asia Pacific Region (SIGIR-AP 2026), held in Singapore, is the premier Asia-Pacific forum for information retrieval research organized under the auspices of ACM SIGIR. The conference brings together researchers and practitioners working on search engines, recommender systems, question answering, and information access technologies, with a particular focus on the diverse languages, cultures, and information needs of the Asia-Pacific region. SIGIR-AP 2026 covers the full breadth of modern IR research, from neural ranking models and dense retrieval to conversational search, multimodal retrieval, and the emerging challenges of retrieval-augmented generation with large language models.

SIGIR-AP 2026 invites original research contributions on all aspects of information retrieval and information access.
