Feb 17 - 20, 2027
Abstract Deadline: Oct 31, 2026
About This Conference
This track explores the multifaceted intersections between mathematical and engineering principles and their representations across popular culture media. We invite scholars, educators, and practitioners to analyze how these technical disciplines are portrayed, mythologized, or utilized within literature, film, gaming, and digital narratives. This forum offers a significant opportunity to bridge the gap between STEM fields and cultural studies, fostering interdisciplinary dialogue on the societal impact of technical expertise.
Call for Papers
We welcome submissions that investigate the depiction of mathematicians and engineers in fiction, the use of mathematical concepts in narrative structure, or the cultural implications of emerging technologies. Please submit a 250-word abstract and a brief biography through the SWPACA submission portal by the specified deadline.
