Cybersecurity for Smart Grids: Latest Advances and Prospects (Electronics Special Issue)
About This Conference
This special issue of Electronics addresses the critical and growing challenge of securing smart grid infrastructure against an increasingly sophisticated cyber threat landscape, bringing together original research on cyberattack detection, resilience engineering, and advanced protection mechanisms for energy systems. Smart grids integrate information and communications technology throughout the power network, creating novel attack surfaces that demand new cryptographic protocols, anomaly detection methods, and secure-by-design architectures. The collection advances both theoretical foundations and practical solutions for protecting the digital infrastructure on which modern energy supply depends.
Call for Papers
Submissions are invited covering all aspects of smart grid cybersecurity, including intrusion detection systems, secure communication protocols, formal security verification, adversarial machine learning for threat analysis, and case studies of cyber incidents in energy infrastructure. Research addressing both offensive security analysis and defensive engineering is welcome.
