EHBEA 2026: European Human Behaviour and Evolution Association Conference

Apr 14 - 14, 2025
About This Conference
EHBEA 2026: the European Human Behaviour and Evolution Association Conference is the flagship event for researchers studying human nature from an evolutionary perspective. The conference brings together work on human behavioral ecology, evolutionary psychology, cultural evolution, primate cognition and behavior, anthropology, and the biological and social mechanisms underlying human cooperation, reproduction, and social organization. EHBEA maintains a commitment to empirical rigor and theoretical coherence, drawing on evolutionary biology as a unifying framework for understanding human behavior.

The conference welcomes biologists, psychologists, anthropologists, primatologists, economists, and sociologists who approach human behavior through an evolutionary lens. EHBEA has a particularly strong tradition of fostering early-career researchers, and its relatively intimate size compared to larger psychological or biological society meetings makes it an excellent place for graduate students to present work and establish connections with leading researchers across Europe and beyond. The 2026 meeting promises stimulating debate on cutting-edge questions about human nature and the evolutionary roots of contemporary social life.
