The workshop on Embedding Intelligence in Smart Municipalities, co-located with ISC2 2026, examines how artificial intelligence and data-driven technologies can be integrated into municipal services, urban infrastructure, and local governance to improve quality of life and operational efficiency. The workshop addresses challenges unique to the municipal context — including legacy infrastructure, data governance, citizen privacy, and equitable service delivery — alongside technical questions about AI system design, integration, and performance monitoring.
