First Workshop on Misinformation Detection in the Era of LLMs

About This Conference
The First Workshop on Misinformation Detection in the Era of LLMs (2025) addresses one of the most urgent challenges at the intersection of AI and society: how to identify, classify, and counter false or misleading information in a world where large language models can generate convincing text at scale. Topics include automated fact-checking, claim detection, evidence retrieval, LLM-generated misinformation, adversarial robustness of detection systems, dataset construction, and the social and political contexts in which misinformation spreads.

This workshop is relevant to NLP researchers, computational social scientists, journalists, platform trust-and-safety teams, and policymakers grappling with the information integrity crisis. As LLMs lower the barrier to producing synthetic misinformation at scale, the need for reliable automated detection has never been more acute. The workshop offers a focused venue for presenting new datasets, models, and evaluation frameworks, and for building a research community around this critical problem.
