Forty-second International Conference on Machine Learning
About This Conference
ICML 2025, the Forty-second International Conference on Machine Learning, is the premier venue for fundamental and applied research on machine learning algorithms and systems. Over four decades the conference has tracked — and helped shape — every major development in the field, from kernel methods and probabilistic graphical models to deep learning, reinforcement learning, and the current era of large foundation models.
The 2025 program reflects both the field's maturity and its ongoing ferment: theory papers on generalization and optimization share the program with empirical studies of scaling laws, safety and alignment research, and applications in science and engineering. ICML attracts a global community of academic researchers, industry scientists, and PhD students for whom the conference represents both the highest standard of peer review and the most important annual gathering in machine learning.
