JIAF-JFPDA 2025: Journées d'Intelligence Artificielle Fondamentale et Planification

About This Conference
JIAF-JFPDA 2025 is a combined French event bringing together two complementary AI research communities: the Journées d'Intelligence Artificielle Fondamentale (JIAF), focused on knowledge representation, automated reasoning, constraint programming, and argumentation, and the Journées Francophones sur la Planification, la Décision et l'Apprentissage (JFPDA), focused on planning, sequential decision making, and reinforcement learning. Together they cover the theoretical core of classical AI alongside its intersection with modern machine learning.

The joint format is intellectually productive because planning and reasoning are naturally coupled: an agent that can reason about what is true and what follows from it is better positioned to plan how to achieve its goals. The conference attracts AI researchers, formal methods specialists, and practitioners interested in the foundations of autonomous behavior. For French-speaking researchers in these areas, JIAF-JFPDA is the essential annual meeting.
