Social Simulation Conference 2025
About This Conference
The Social Simulation Conference 2025 is the annual meeting of the European Social Simulation Association and the foremost international venue for research using computational simulation to study social phenomena. Agent-based modeling is the methodological core of the conference, applied to topics including opinion dynamics, social norms, collective action, market behavior, urban dynamics, and the emergence of institutions from individual interactions.
Social simulation occupies a unique methodological niche: it allows researchers to conduct controlled experiments on social processes that cannot be manipulated in the real world. The conference attracts computational social scientists, economists, sociologists, political scientists, and complexity researchers who share an interest in building and validating formal models of social behavior. Both methodological contributions and substantive applications across the social sciences are welcomed.
