Streaming Knowledge: Transforming Healthcare Infrastructure in the Era of Real-Time Science

This interdisciplinary conference examines the profound transformation of public health epistemology driven by big data, streaming analytics, and AI — a shift the organisers term Real-Time Science (RTS), in which health knowledge exists as a continuous, decentralised flow of perpetually revised findings rather than a finished institutional product. Drawing on medical anthropology, science and technology studies, and AI research, participants interrogate how these changes challenge traditional medical expertise, reconfigure biopolitical institutions, and raise fundamental questions about accountability and equity in health governance. Contributions are invited from across academic disciplines, with particular focus on the material conditions shaping knowledge production in real-time health systems.
