Swedish Language Technology Conference 2026
About This Conference
The Swedish Language Technology Conference 2026 (SLTC) is the biennial national forum for language technology research in Sweden, encompassing computational linguistics, speech technology, and natural language processing. SLTC serves as the primary venue for the Swedish language technology community to convene, exchange results, and coordinate on shared challenges.
Topics include Swedish NLP tools and resources, machine translation, speech recognition and synthesis, information extraction, dialogue systems, and the development of language resources for Swedish and related Nordic languages. Computational linguists, NLP researchers, speech scientists, and language technology practitioners from academia and industry are all core audiences. SLTC also addresses the strategic importance of developing robust language technology for smaller national languages that risk being underserved by globally dominant AI systems.
