The AI Knowledge Society: Mapping Digital Hospitality and Hostility

This interdisciplinary conference examines the transformative and contested role of Artificial Intelligence in shaping contemporary knowledge production, digital culture, and social relations, with a particular focus on how AI systems mediate acts of hospitality and hostility in digital spaces. Participants engage with critical, sociological, and humanistic perspectives on algorithmic bias, content moderation, digital misinformation, and the power dynamics embedded in AI-driven platforms that govern who is welcomed and who is marginalized online. The conference creates a forum for scholars, practitioners, and policymakers to map the evolving landscape of AI's impact on knowledge access, inclusion, and the ethics of digital participation.
