Workshop on Predicting Performance from Reading and Learning Behavior and Orchestrating Human and AI Agency -- Joint Edition＠ICCE2026

The Joint Workshop on Predicting Performance from Reading and Learning Behavior and Orchestrating Human and AI Agency, co-located with ICCE 2026 in Christchurch, New Zealand, tackles two interlinked frontiers of intelligent educational systems research. The first thread examines how behavioral signals — eye movements, click streams, reading patterns, and interaction logs — can be used to predict learner performance and intervene proactively. The second thread addresses how human teachers and AI tutoring systems can be orchestrated to complement each other's strengths, distributing cognitive load and pedagogical responsibility dynamically. Together, these themes reflect the broader shift toward adaptive, data-driven, and human-centered learning environments in primary, secondary, and higher education.

The joint workshop invites original research papers addressing learning analytics, educational data mining, and human-AI orchestration in learning environments. Topics of interest include: reading behavior analysis and eye-tracking in learning contexts; clickstream and log data analysis for performance prediction; early warning systems in education; automated feedback and intelligent tutoring systems; teacher dashboards and learning analytics visualization; human-AI teaming in classroom settings; orchestration frameworks for blended learning; adaptive learning system design; multimodal learning analytics; ethics and privacy in educational data collection; and evaluation of AI-supported learning interventions. Both empirical studies and system demonstrations are welcome.
